Description:
JOIN NRS HEALTHCARE AS A DRIVER TRAINER!
Are you passionate about safe driving and training others? Do you have a background in driver education and a desire to make a positive impact in the healthcare sector? We’re looking for a number of Regional Driver Trainers to join the team and help us “drive” improvements and consistency across our team of expert drivers.
Responsibilities:
As a Regional Driver Trainer at NRS Healthcare, you’ll lead all training and coaching for our Community Service team in your defined region. This role covers our Northern region - and so you’ll oversee our Service Centres in this region which currently cover Belfast, East Riding and Hull, North Yorkshire, Doncaster, Lincolnshire (Grantham and Sleaford) and Blackburn and Darwen. Your main goal will be to ensure that the team operates safely and complies with NRS processes and procedures, all while reducing operational road risk to the business. You’ll liaise with the local Service Centre’s Operations Management team and ensure all sites are conducting their driver training and monitoring in a consistent, efficient and professional manner.
Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to improve and maintain high driving standards within our driver population. You’ll be the go-to person for training record card compliance and will conduct driver assessments regularly. When performance issues arise, you’ll coach drivers, offering constructive feedback and support to help them improve. After any accident, you’ll step in to conduct thorough investigations and provide necessary training, reinforcing what good driving standards look like.
In your role, you’ll also be responsible for providing training to our Community Equipment Technicians, enhancing their performance and competency. You’ll handle license checks and investigate any vehicle accidents or damage in line with our fleet policy. As the Scanner Champion, you’ll drive correct scanner usage, manage the defective vehicle VOR process, and review performance metrics from Cognito OPA and scanners.
Daily and monthly vehicle checks will be part of your routine, ensuring all outcomes are reported and addressed. You’ll monitor vehicle utilization and journey reports, manage training completion, and maintain monthly training trackers. Occasionally, you’ll also support recruitment efforts, helping us find the best talent to join our team.
This role is dynamic and varied, and while it comes with specific responsibilities, it also requires flexibility. You’ll be expected to undertake other duties as needed, contributing to the overall success of NRS Healthcare.
