Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Operations Manager- Inspection Solutions for our Contracting business, the Drone Pilot Asset Inspector is accountable for the delivery of RPAS/Drone Inspection Services throughout New Zealand, ensuring safe and efficient operation of our overhead networks, transmission networks, and commercial solar PV installations.
You will engage, perform trial programs, and transform opportunities into business-as-usual activities with our key distribution customers.
Based in Auckland, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Safely operating RPAS/Drones to conduct inspections and assessments of electrical assets in diverse geographical locations
- Review, manage, and analyse field data gathered during RPAS/Drone Inspection Services to provide valuable insights for decision-making
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommendations from RPAS/Drone inspections to support asset management and maintenance efforts
- Conduct various network condition assessments, including visual surveys, acoustic surveys, TADS surveys, and other complementary methods to ensure a comprehensive understanding of asset health
- Collaborate with our team to provide expert guidance on RPAS solutions, inspection frameworks, site health and safety, field planning and future improvements within our local operations
- Work closely with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Controller and Safety officer to ensure seamless RPAS/Drone operations, incident resolution, and continuous global improvements
