Description:
ARE YOU LOOKING TO SECURE AN INTERNSHIP WITH ONE OF THE MOST DYNAMIC POLICING UNITS?
The East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Year in Industry (YII) placement to join us in our dynamic and fast-paced environment, to begin in September 2025, for a minimum of 10 months.
You can expect to assist with the daily duties of the team including taking enquiries, providing administrative support, checking and ordering stock, receiving and storing exhibits, and managing and resolving customer enquiries and requests for service in line with EMSOU-FS policy.
- Inputting and extracting data accurately from IT systems as required (recording of drugs intelligence data, recording of casework data etc.)
- Monitoring and responding to enquiries received via email or by telephone efficiently and professionally seeking advice as appropriate (submission queries, drugs queries etc.)
- Receiving and storing drugs exhibits whilst maintaining the continuity and integrity of the exhibits as well as organising and maintaining the secure drug storeroom.
- Supporting the Reporting Scientists by ensuring their casework exhibit continuity is maintained and any MG22b/MG11 reports are uploaded to Niche.
- Organising and prioritising workloads working as part of a team or with minimal supervision as the situation requires.
- To carry out any other duties reasonable commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the post.
