EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM / Design related field, mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience. Previous work experience in golf club head design or a similar design role is preferred.
  • Understanding of lost wax investment casting, CNC machining, and carbon fiber materials preferred.
  • Experience with 3D printing or other rapid prototyping equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)

  • Work is performed on-site in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
  • Occasionally exposed to excessive noise while on the shop floor.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Good skills with Siemens NX or other top-tier CAD software.
  • Working knowledge of office software products (MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Good critical thinking and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good skills in sketching, free-form surfacing and solids tools, and associative/parametric modeling techniques with the family of parts design methods preferred.
  • Knowledge of the physics of golf club performance,
  • Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter or other PLM preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Create and analyze high-precision club head designs using Siemens NX CAD software.
  • Document design process and dimensionality via club head and other technical specifications.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to evaluate design, development, manufacturing, legal, and marketing issues. Work well with others and independently.
  • Provide design timeline estimates and updates during design development.
  • Raise issues that may affect the product’s success and participate in resolving those issues.
  • Other assigned duties may include support for research, design, legal, development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales efforts.
  • Follow design procedures and design standards defined by the Product Design group.
  • Able to work independently and overcome challenges to achieve design objectives that senior designers and leadership have laid out.
