There is an opportunity available at the Visy Glass – West Croydon Plant for the role of Shift Electrician that will also complete mechanical work. This is a diverse and varied role where you will be working closely with shift production and reliability teams on scheduled and breakdown maintenance.
The person we are looking for will hold an A-Grade Electrical license and will be part of our reliability team, working primarily day shift while acting as a relief, supporting production on a 24/7 rotating roster.

Reporting to the Plant Reliability Manager, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Preventative and reactive/breakdown maintenance
  • Data driven decision making
  • General technical support to the manufacturing site
  • New and old machinery installation work
  • Daily maintenance, fault finding, troubleshooting, and machine repair
  • Wiring and assembly of control boards
  • Respond to breakdowns and prioritise accordingly in conjunction with shift supervisor
  • Enter and manage maintenance notifications in SAP
