REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in compliance or legal roles, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese.
  • Proven experience in due diligence, risk management, and industry research within the financial services sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Due Diligence Specialist to conduct thorough evaluations of potential investments, business partners, and acquisition targets. As the ideal candidate, you will analyze financial statements, legal documents, and operational metrics to identify both risks and opportunities. This role entails collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive assessments, preparing detailed reports, and providing actionable insights to support informed decision-making. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial analysis are crucial for success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of financial statements, legal documents, and regulatory filings related to potential acquisitions, mergers, partnerships, or investments in the CFD and financial services sectors.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate risks and liabilities, including third-party risks, associated with target companies or investment opportunities.
  • Third-Party Risk Management: Monitor third-party relationships to identify and mitigate reputational, operational, financial, or compliance risks while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Industry Regulation Research: Research trends in industry regulations to ensure our company remains compliant with evolving regulations and to inform our due diligence and investment strategies.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare detailed due diligence reports, highlighting key risks and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, risk, and legal departments, to gather information and ensure a comprehensive due diligence process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance our due diligence and third-party risk management processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
