Job Description
Novotel Perth Murray Street is in the centre of Perth CBD, offering 431 hotel rooms which appeal to a cross-section of business and leisure travellers. It has an Asian food offering in its onsite restaurant, Miss Mi, and is also a leading conference and function destination, with state of the art facilities.
The Hotel Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel operation in the absence of management with particular emphasis on assisting with the operations of Front Office, enhancing of the guest experience through supervision and support to all team members and monitoring hotel security.

Our Duty Manager will have direct responsibility for:

  • managing the guest experience, arrival through to departure
  • undertaking check-ins and check-outs of guests
  • reservations, quality checks, up-selling
  • rooms inventory management
  • management of guest, travel agent accounts
  • concierge, hotel information assistance
  • training, supporting a small, energetic reception team
  • delivering memorable experiences and providing incredible, extraordinary, customer service
  • assisting the team in the restaurant or elsewhere as required

Qualifications

Essential requirements for this key role include:

  • Reception and concierge experience
  • Hotel, resort, accommodation experience
  • Opera PMS knowledge, across Microsoft programs
  • Great communication skills, solution-focused approach
  • Impeccable grooming and personal presentation standards
  • A passion for hospitality, guest satisfaction and success
  • Duty Manager expertise is preferred
  • Approved Manager License is essential
  • First Aid Certificate an advantage
