Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to the rapid growth and success of our satellite venue Vikings Sports Club, we are excited to announce that we are recruiting for two newly created Duty Manager positions. This role will be the critical link between senior management and operations; suitable for a hands-on, experienced hospitality leader. As the escalation point for all guests, a customer-centric approach will be crucial to your success in this role and ensuring that service standards of the venue are met. You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operations for all departments, staff and contractors in the venue for the duration of your shift.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure staff and patrons adhere to all relevant policies, procedures and legislation
  • Enforce all AML/CTF, Legislation, Self-Exclusion and patron welfare checks
  • Direct staff on shift and allocate breaks in accordance with operational requirements
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with members including managing patrons and member complaints in a timely and effective manner
  • Oversee external contractors, security, maintenance of facilities and that WHS standards are met for the Club to ensure staff and patron safety
  • Opening/ closing procedures including shift report and handover at completion of shift
  • Respond to first aid and/or emergency situations to ensure staff and patron safety, accurately record any incidents
  • Reconciliation of till floats, ensure sufficient cash flow on shift and denominations meet operational needs, verify and report any cash variations, and complete banking.
  • Ensure that functions are set, resources prepared, and staff have been briefed on the day’s planned events/functions/promotions
  • Overseeing smooth gaming operations including clearance, troubleshooting machines, fixing and reporting machine faults
