BENEFICIAL SKILLS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL TO APPLY:

We’re excited to offer a flexible and rotational roster that supports you and your life, however with great movies, comes great responsibility so we need particular support around our peak periods.
This means we are looking for staff who are happy to contribute to a rotational roster working across the week and weekends as well as public/school holidays on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to step into a Duty Manager position at Eastlands Village Cinemas!
Reporting to the General Manager & Service Operations Manager, the Duty Manager is responsible for the everyday operations of our cinema site. From the moment a guest steps through the doors of a cinema site, our Duty Managers are responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided, while supporting our teams in providing operational excellence.
The Duty Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the cinema site in collaboration with the senior leadership team within site. They are responsible for ensuring the company guest centric vision and values are well represented through processes and communications.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Ensuring correct completion of all appropriate cash handling documentation and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Identifying risks and assisting in reducing loss of financial resources;
  • Achievement of financial targets on a shift-to-shift basis;
  • Providing direction to other employees with regards to their performance and providing leadership and guidance to all team members whilst on shift;
  • Assisting with the management of area specific labour costs;
  • Assisting with stock management and reporting;
  • Assisting with the opening and closing procedures of the cinema.
  • Assisting with all day-to-day operational requirements of the cinema site.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Previous experience in mentoring and training at a supervisory level;
  • Good verbal and written communication;
  • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to solve complex problems;
  • Ability to work autonomously and show initiative as well as working as part of a team;
  • Flexibility in relation to working a flexible and rotational roster;
  • Your ability to support the development of all team members
  • You will possess outstanding customer service skills and be committed to providing a superior experience for all film goers.
