Spencer Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park is a recreational destination stretching over 17 hectares, where guests can relax and unwind in a huge campground in the middle of a 70 hectare forested reserve, or take part in one of the many activities nearby. Situated just 20 minutes from the city and airport, we’re also only 500m from the beach. Serving up great experiences and excellent services for our community, our people are nothing short of awe-inspiring in the level of service and assistance they provide for the people of Christchurch and beyond.
Duty Officers are an essential part of our team, in your role you will help us provide a high level of customer service to all our guests nationally and internationally, and work closely with an amazing team to ensure our guest’s have a position and memorable experience with us.
We now have 2 roles available, to join the team.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE | KO TE MAHI NEI

Day-to-day duties include:

  • Checking in and out of guests
  • Phone and email bookings and enquires.
  • Assisting with customer requests or dealing with customer concerns and complaints
  • Cash handling and processing of payments
  • Stocking and serving customer in camp shop
  • Laundry and assisting with housekeeping if needed
  • End of day closing duties

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a friendly and helpful attitude, able to adapt to different languages and cultures.
  • Work well under pressure and show initiative.
  • Have knowledge of the Canterbury region and attractions.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Well organised with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Exceptional problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work un-supervised.
  • Full NZ driver’s license.
  • Comprehensive first aid certificate.
  • Previous experience in the tourism industry is desirable
