Description:
INTRODUCTION
Our client is a large consultancy who are working with clients in the Defence and National Security Sector, guiding and leading cross-functional agile development teams through the software lifecycle.
You will work with the Product Owner through phases from discovery through to live, applying Scrum, SAFe and Kanban frameworks.
You will need experience within Defence and/or National Security to be considered for this role.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a Scrum Master or Agile Lead role within a Defence/National Security environment.
- Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) or equivalent.
- Experience of managing multiple agile development teams.
- Have a technical mindset but also with a ‘business’ understanding and ability to work closely with stakeholders to understand their problems.
- Experience leading and coaching teams through all stages of the product lifecycle.
- Consulting experience is desirable.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be responsible for deliverables and client stakeholder relationships and will be delivering solutions.
- Lead teams which include software engineers, automation testers, user researchers, designers, business analysts, and DevOps engineers.
- Facilitate team ceremonies/events for multiple scrum teams including the daily stand-up, sprint planning, grooming, demos and retrospectives.
- Work with the Product Owners to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep the backlog healthy and prepared for execution.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to company standards, processes and policies for all projects.
- Help determine and maintain overall team velocity and capacity with regards to the team’s roadmap of projects and planning/prioritisation.
- Serve as Agile Framework champion and coach teams and stakeholders on value of agile/scrum across the organisations.
- Track and report on agile development team performance metrics.
