Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are looking for a DWDM Mid/Senior Level Engineer with a robust understanding and experience in operating DWDM networks and associated IP/MPLS equipment. This role requires a mix of expertise in DWDM network operations, system deployment and continuous improvement of network operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop technical documentation
- Manage the configuration, deployment and upgrading of DWDM equipment to ensure optimal network performance and capacity
- Oversee the troubleshooting and maintenance of DWDM systems to minimize downtime and service disruptions
- Operate and develop optical backbone networks (DWDM and fiber-optic lines).
- Test new DWDM network solutions
- Automate commissioning processes
- Participate in complex integration projects with internal, external and vendor teams.
- Collaborate productively with network and data center operations teams
