PROFILE
We are currently seeking an organized, energetic and detail oriented self-starter to join our fast paced Finance Team as an E-Billing Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, a strong commitment to client service and thrive in an environment of competing priorities and continuous learning.
This position can be based in any of our Canadian offices! This position reports to the Head of Billing who is located in our Toronto office.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post secondary Diploma coupled with a minimum of 3 years of billing experience (or equivalent), in a professional services environment. Consideration will be given to applicants with prior legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Aderant Expert software is an asset.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize several tasks or projects at one time, work well within a fast paced team environment, and work with deadlines.
- Detailed oriented.
- Ability to work flexible hours as workload may require.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.

The starting range for this role is $46,800 to $62,000. Starting salary will be determined based on an applicant’s individual skills, competencies and unique qualifications. Gowling WLG employees have the potential to exceed this range based on tenure and performance.

Responsibilities:
The incumbent’s responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain e-billing for assigned clients nationally, including timely submissions of all electronic invoices.
- Follow specific procedures and quality control for e-billed clients, ensuring that the client and Firm’s guidelines are followed during the regular submission process.
- Work closely with internal and external clients as well as accounting staff across the Firm to resolve e-billing issues.
- Review aging of AR for assigned e-billed clients and report issues to Head of Billing.
- Prepare special reports as requested by internal and external clients.
- Assist with the training of billing staff and assistants on e-billing procedures, as required.
