Description:

JOB ADVERT SUMMARY

The primary purpose is to maintain the accuracy and integrity of product information across the online platform. This includes ensuring that pricing is correctly displayed, continuously checked and maintained. The role also involves managing seamless digital operations, such as assisting with website development, project management, and resolving any technical issues that arise. Additionally, the E-Commerce Coordinator manages the AI Chatbox, ensuring that data is continually checked and improved. Handling customer queries efficiently, reporting and contributing to strategies that drive sales and enhancing the overall customer experience are also key components of this position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 – 4+ years proven work experience in an E-commerce environment.
  • Advanced experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of E-commerce and websites and concepts around user experience.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who is able to work without supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages such as Afrikaans would be advantageous).
  • Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - proficiency in interacting with people at all levels.
  • Skills that are advantageous to the position include previous experience with the SAP technology solution, and an understanding of the steel industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the integration of new DIY and other products onto the E-commerce website.
  • Ensure all products are correctly categorized for easy navigation and searchability.
  • Obtain, edit and upload high-quality images that accurately represent the products.
  • Maintain accurate product descriptions (sales text), specification sheets and product information.
  • Ensure timely updates on the website to reflect new or modified product offerings.
  • Ensure pricing of all products is maintained correctly in our SAP system, reflecting any updates or changes.
  • Assist with website development and testing of new functionality and any changes to the website.
  • Tracking of website metrics.
  • Managing and maintaining an AI Chatbox, including maintaining and updating the AI Assistant’s knowledge base with the latest product, organisational and personnel changes.
  • Keep the AI Assistant informed of any changes to ensure accurate customer interactions.
  • Prioritize accurate and timely information to maintain the reliability of the AI Assistant.
  • Creating, managing, and running reports in Excel to report on key metrics, including daily reports.
  • Work with internal staff, and external customers to understand their needs, identify their problems, and provide them with solutions, keeping the customer at the forefront of solutions.
