Description:
TERMS
Our client has secured a significant contract for the delivery of key technology to support the Boliden Odda Zinc Smelter Expansion project in western Norway. This expansion, known as “Green Zinc Odda,” is part of Boliden Odda’s ambitious plan to increase its annual zinc metal production capacity from 200,000 to 350,000 tonnes, while also producing various valuable by-products. Notably, the project prioritizes sustainable practices by relying on fossil-free energy sources.
- The project is scheduled to start with immediate effect.
- Contract type: fixed-term employment or freelance project.
- The position requires a commitment of 57 hours per week.
- Home leaves will be provided on 4 weeks on / 1 week off schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor in large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, instrumentation technologies, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Relevant certifications in electrical and instrumentation supervision preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure compliance with all technical specifications, safety rules, and project timelines.
- Liaise with other discipline supervisors, contractors, and engineering staff to facilitate efficient site operations.
- Conduct daily supervisory checks and maintain records to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety regulations and permitting procedures.
- Review contractor performance to ensure quality and efficiency in electrical and instrumentation erection works.
- Initiate corrective actions to address delays and non-compliance with project specifications.
- Participate in project meetings, prepare reports, and update project documentation to reflect changes and ‘as-built’ statuses.
- Ensure all team members are aware of and follow HSE policies, site security, and regulations.
- Monitor material deliveries, manage resources effectively, and forecast potential cost overruns to propose necessary budget adjustments.
