Job Description
We are expanding our services, and to support this growth, we are looking for an e-Learning Developer to join our Policy in Action (PIA) line of business. PIA provides programme and network support, technical assistance, and mutual (peer-based) learning and training services to European Union (EU) institutions, particularly the European Commission Directorate-Generals and executive agencies, as well as governmental bodies in the UK. Our current portfolio of work includes delivery of online and face-to-face training for the Union for Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM); the Secretariat for the European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training; and a wide range of mutual learning services in the field of employment, skills and social policy.

Responsibilities:

The role will involve supporting training-related assignments, providing technical expertise for the design and delivery of training-related services, and contributing to the ICF’s growth and excellence in this field. This is a specialist position requiring the development of tailored, client-oriented solutions across a range of e-learning and blended learning scenarios and topics.

The person will contribute to all aspects of training services for PIA, spanning:

  • Course Development: Implement e-learning courses using provided instructional designs, ensuring high-quality and interactive content.
  • Technical Implementation: Utilize e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to develop and publish courses.
  • Multimedia Integration: Incorporate multimedia elements such as videos, animations, and interactive activities to enhance learning experiences.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of e-learning courses to ensure functionality and user-friendliness.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with learning objectives.
  • Maintenance and Updates: Regularly update and maintain e-learning content to reflect changes in public policy and best practices.
  • User Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users as needed.
  • Online, face-to-face and blended modes of delivery to a range of target audiences, including young people, adult learners, government officials, etc.
  • All stages of work: conceptualisation and design, preparation of training courses, curricula and associated content and materials, delivery of training to target audiences, and assessment of learning outcomes.
  • Supporting the coordination of training-related projects or programme strands, covering the content, methods and organisational aspects.
  • Coordinating the creation of educational audio-visual content, including conceptualisation, script writing, liaising with subcontractors, quality assurance, etc.
  • Contributing to other capacity-building services, where relevant, such as mutual learning, coaching, train the trainer, leadership development, etc.
  • Contributing to bidding, when relevant.
  • Other tasks, as required.
