Description:
DESCRIPTION
IFC — a member of the World Bank Group — is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets. We work in more than 100 countries, using our capital, expertise, and influence to create markets and opportunities. Our mission is to leverage the power of the private sector to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet. For more information, visit www.ifc.org.
The Partnerships (CBFPF) unit within the Economics & Private Sector Development Vice-Presidency supports IFC operations through fundraising for priority areas and maintaining ongoing relationships with development partners, including bilateral and multilateral sovereign partners and an increasing range of private philanthropic partners. In addition to directly engaging with partners to support IFC activities, CBFPF facilitates partnership development across IFC and advises all IFC operational units on establishing and maintaining meaningful partnerships for funding and broader support for IFC initiatives.
The Private Philanthropies Team is responsible for developing and managing IFC’s relationships with non-sovereign philanthropic partners, including foundations, family offices, collaboratives, and other emerging new structures in the philanthropic sector. The team leads strategy development, marketing and new partnership development, and portfolio management of existing partners; and facilitates strategic access to new partners for IFCs operational teams.
