Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse to come and join the Out of Hours Team as an e-Task Coordinator here at Stockport. The post holder will be required to support the junior Doctors therefore must have good leadership skills and excellent communication and organisational skills.
The successful applicant must be able to work independently and part of a team working alongside or opposite 6 other e-Task co-ordinators and 3 night sisters
You will need to have proven Clinical and I/T skills which are essential for this role.
Experience in teaching and carrying out audits is an advantage.
Co-ordinate the e-Task on the patient track system ensuring that all calls are prioritised and communicated to Doctors on call.
Ensure that standards of care are maintained, monitored and evaluated to a satisfactory level.
Ensure that the Trust’s policies and procedures are performed in line with the Trust and inform the Night Sisters Out of Hours on any matters relating to this issue.
Critically evaluate with the Night Sisters the outcomes of service/care and contribute to the development of nursing and health care service.
To provide training for staff in the Trust to use e -Task
To create a safe handover procedure to Doctors .
Communications
Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills
Effectively liaise in relation to the e-Task and with all other disciplines including Doctors and co-ordinate the overall management of patient care prioritising jobs
Ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times
Ensure effective communication channels between the wards and the night Sister’s team
Deal with any complaints in accordance with the Trust’s complaints procedure
Ensure all staff receive mandatory training in manual handling/fire/resuscitation
Responsibility for Patient Care
Ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner when calls are put on the e i-Task system
Support the Doctors and nurses by taking patient’s bloods and canulating patients etc

If successful, this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary. In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
