The Opportunity
Cochlear has an opportunity for a fulltime Executive Assistant to SVP Global Clinical Strategy & Innovation based in our Macquarie, Sydney office. In this role, the successful Executive Assistant to SVP Global Clinical Strategy & Innovation will provide high-level executive administrative support delivering proactive, accurate, and timely secretarial and administrative assistance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date diary, ensuring all related papers/information are on hand for all meetings and events.
  • Monitoring and managing internal and external requests through email and ensuring appropriate actions in a timely manner.
  • Preparing accurate travel organisation, itineraries, visas, and travel documentation, and expense reimbursement claims.
  • Working closely with and support the SVP Global Clinical Strategy & Innovation and leadership team.
  • Arranging internal and external meetings and events.
  • Responding and action a broad range of enquiries and telephone requests, determine necessary priorities and approval, and ensure necessary follow up action is taken.

Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level executive and administrative support at a similar senior management level with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with issues and determine priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to take initiative and work under limited direction.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare presentations, reports, and correspondence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues with a high level of tact, discretion, and judgement.
  • Mature individual, who possesses a high level of competency and integrity; able to maintain high credibility within the organisation.
  • Proficient keyboard skills with sound knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

Ideal:

  • Experience in a global or multi-national company.
  • Knowledge of additional languages.
  • Experience in supporting high-level strategic initiatives.
