EARLY CAREERS: ANALYST, HEALTH SOLUTIONS
Are you looking for an opportunity to join a global leader in the professional services space? This could be the perfect opportunity for you! Aon is looking for an Analyst, Health Solutions in Montreal or Quebec!
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our offices.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.
WHAT THE DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Providing technical advice/expertise for client projects (plan design, financial and underwriting review, flexible benefits pricing, insurance carrier reviews, etc.), including preparing letters and reports
- Analyzing claims, identifying anomalies, estimating future plan costs, developing pricing models and providing analysis of clients’ financial and underwriting results;
- Preparing experience reviews and renewal underwriting analyses;
- Participating in the negotiation of renewal ratings;
- Reviewing contracts, employee booklets and financial statements;
- Preparing specifications for seeking quotations;
- Peer reviewing data and reports;
- Assisting consultants in client meetings and drafting presentations to clients;
- Developing strong working relationships with peers/your team, clients and group benefit insurance company representatives;
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of group systems, products and technology, and having a thorough understanding of how these relate to group insurance consulting;
- Leading by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practice; and
- Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS THAT WILL LEAD TO SUCCESS
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business Management, Statistics or related field;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills in developing solutions for complex client/business issues;
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong technical expertise and the willingness to remain current with respect to industry trends, provincial and federal legislative policies and changes;
- Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in the Microsoft office package.
- Bilingual written and spoken (French and English)
- French / English bilingualism required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
