Description:

Job Title: Early Careers and Apprenticeships Lead
Contract: Permanent
Reporting to: Head of OD and Learning and Development
Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Somerset Care Group office Acacia House based in Taunton, with travel to various sites across Somerset.
Salary: £26,460 per annum
Driving License & access to own vehicle is essential.

We are looking for an Early Careers and Apprenticeships Lead to join our dynamic Learning and Development team. In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the apprenticeship offering for both new and existing colleagues, helping drive development and career progression across the company.
  • Work closely with educational institutions, internal managers, and external partners to develop new apprenticeship roles, including Student Nurse Associates and other career pathways.
  • Promote Somerset Care as an employer of choice through attraction activities at schools, colleges, and universities.
  • Provide valuable career advice and guidance to colleagues, helping them navigate apprenticeship and development opportunities.

Key skills and requirements:

  • Strong communication skills to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A self-starter, able to pick up projects quickly and work autonomously.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; we are open to candidates with relevant experience from other sectors.
