About The Job
We’re looking for an Early Careers and Inclusion Lead to help us build out our early career pipeline and strengthen and embrace the diversity of our employees.
This is where your in-depth knowledge of the early careers market and the complexities our industry faces will be critical for this role.
The role sits within the Talent and Learning team within HR and is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company’s early careers programs, including internships, apprentices, graduate development programs, and entry-level talent initiatives. The role involves working closely with HR, business leaders, and external partners to attract, develop, and retain high-potential early-career talent. The role also includes management of our D&I strategy and associated output.

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing
While there is rarely a typical day, here’s a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:
Early Careers Program Development & Management
Design and implement early careers programs that align with business needs and talent strategies.
Manage the full lifecycle of internship, apprenticeship, work experience and graduate programs, from recruitment and onboarding to rotations, ongoing development, placements and retention.
Partnership with HR Business Partners for all programme rotations and placements.
Continuously assess and improve program effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
Early Careers Recruitment & Outreach
Collaborate with the TA team and Lloyd’s Early Careers team to attract top early-careers talent through targeted outreach and partnerships with educational institutions.
Represent the company at Lloyd’s events, careers fairs, university events, and networking opportunities to promote early career opportunities.
Early Careers Talent Development
Develop training, mentorship, and career development programs tailored to early career employees.
Management of our apprenticeship budget and early career professional qualification pathways, working alongside our current preferred supplier BPP and in collaboration with T&L team.
Work with business leaders to ensure alignment between program participants’ objectives and development and our business needs.
Diversity & Inclusion Development & Management
Promote diversity and inclusion within early careers programs by implementing strategies to attract and retain diverse talent.
Lead initiatives to support an inclusive environment that contributes to the success of all our employees.
Management of our D&I strategy and associated outputs.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partnership and alignment with HR Business Partners throughout the lifecycle of all early career programmes.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, business leaders, and program participants, to ensure alignment and support for early career and inclusion initiatives.
Serve as a point of contact for external partners, such as universities, professional organizations, and other talent and inclusion partners.
Reporting & Analytics
Monitor and report on program success through key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics.
Provide regular updates to HR Business Partners, Senior management on the progress and outcomes of early career programs and inclusion activity.
Budget Management
Manage the budget for early careers programs and D&I, ensuring that all initiatives are cost-effective and deliver a strong return on investment (ROI)
