We own 16 of the world’s top 100 Spirits Brands and hold one of the most prestigious and comprehensive brand portfolios in the industry with 240 premium brands available in over 160 countries, including: Absolut vodka, Ballantine’s, Chivas Regal, Royal Salute, and The Glenlivet Scotch whiskies, Jameson Irish whiskey, Martell cognac, Havana Club rum, Beefeater, Malfy and Monkey 47 gins, Malibu liqueur, Mumm and Perrier-Jouët champagnes as well Jacob’s Creek, Brancott Estate and Campo Viejo wines.
Here in the UK

In the UK, Pernod Ricard is made up of 4 businesses:

  • Pernod Ricard UK, which markets, sells and distributes our products in the UK
  • Chivas Brothers, the largest brand company in the Group, responsible for the production and management of our award-winning Scotch whisky portfolio
  • Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.
  • The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.

We are an organisation of 2,000+ employees in the UK, headquartered in London, in a brand-new office designed with sustainability, ‘conviviality’ and collaboration in mind. We also have offices in Scotland and various distilleries and production sites across the UK from Plymouth to London to Speyside.
Your new team
You will be part of our Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence within our Human Resources team. In the HR team, we believe that blending performance and ‘conviviality’ is our recipe for success, the unique Pernod Ricard way. We welcome diversity, embrace our differences and thrive on the excitement and challenges of continuously growing and adapting our business.
The Talent Acquisition CoE was created in 2021 to centralise employer brand and recruitment in a specialised team. Our mission is to attract and recruit the very best talent for Pernod Ricard in the UK. We aim to do this by establishing and communicating a unique employer brand, creating the best experience for our candidates and driving diversity. We are a team of 6 people on a bold and exciting transformation journey, working closely with the wider HR team and line managers to deliver it.
Your unique contribution
You will have 3 main areas of responsibility:

Manage Pernod Ricard’s UK early careers programmes:

  • Lead our industrial placement programme, recruiting ~35 talents each year, managing the cycle end to end from requirements gathering, through candidate attraction & selection (with our partner Bright Network) to offer management, as well as managing the placement student community during their time with us (community management, ensuring strong training path with our Talent & Learning Team) and building an alumni programme to increase retention of top early careers talent.
  • Manage our targeted Commercial Graduate Programme (~8 hires p.a.), including review of existing programme to ensure it remains aligned with business need, managing the cycle end to end as above.
  • Review our apprenticeship programmes, ensuring we are using our levy in the most beneficial way and proposing a future-fit apprenticeship approach that both provides return on investment and a strong, diverse early talent pipeline.

Manage Pernod Ricard’s UK employer brand:

  • Support the shift in our TA model towards proactive talent acquisition practices, such as employer brand building, recruitment marketing and talent pipelining.
  • Develop, run and measure the effectiveness of employer brand and recruitment marketing campaigns in order to drive recruitment outcomes.
  • Adapting global assets, design and implement a programme of ‘always on’ employer brand communication in collaboration with our local Communications teams and global EVP team, in order to enhance awareness and consideration of Pernod Ricard as an employer of choice in the UK.
  • Embed Pernod Ricard’s new global EVP locally.

Manage strategic HR projects:

  • Review current Early Careers programmes to propose creative, digital and leading approaches to early careers recruitment and communicating our employer brand.
  • Includes projects in the wider HR function, e.g. you will own a redesign of our end-to-end employee onboarding programme across the full UK population.

Who you’ll be working with
Internally, you’ll work with early careers line managers, HR Business Partners, our Talent & Learning team, as well as other members of the Talent Acquisition CoE
Externally, your contacts will be our early careers delivery partners, employer brand agencies and our candidates
Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

  • Have a strong knowledge of best practice in apprenticeship programmes (funding model, providers, etc).
  • Can show how you have identified and delivered innovative solutions in employer branding and recruitment marketing.
  • Are passionate about talent acquisition and diversity & inclusion.
  • Are able to build strong business relationships based on trust, can deliver great results at pace in a matrixed international business and have strong project management skills.
