Early Careers: Risk Associate Role at Linx Underwriting Solutions
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Halifax (Toronto) office
Linx Underwriting Solutions, an Aon company, provides commercial insurance solutions to a wide range of industries to ensure that they have the best possible cover to mitigate the risks they face.

What the day will look like
As a risk associate, you’ll experience the full lifecycle of our business including the use of data and analytics to measure profitability, the importance of understanding claims and how they impact the underwriting of risk, negotiating new business and renewals, through to working on new business initiatives to profitably grow our business.

Linx has over 30 colleagues in offices across Canada including Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax and Montreal and has adopted flexible working including hybrid working with this role to be based in Halifax.
You’ll be involved in underwriting negotiations, developing relationships with our broking partners to understanding how we manage our portfolios to ensure that we maintain sustainable, profitable, and long standing relationships with our capital providers.
Skills and experience that will lead to success Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills; Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and self-managed; Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to positively respond to urgent requests; Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing roles; Willingness to take on additional responsibilities Ability to learn from experience and apply the learnings to new situations; Flexibility and adaptability to working in different business/segment teams Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package
Education: Enrolled in a Post-Secondary degree. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses/certifications (I.e. General Insurance Level 1)
