Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Director to join our team in the beautiful suburb of Yackandandah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our early childhood program, including curriculum development, staff management and rostering, parent communication, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will be required to report to the Community General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Hold a suitable (Early Childhood Teacher) qualification pursuant to the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations
- Previous experience in a leadership role in an early childhood education setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of licensing and regulatory requirements for early childhood education programs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes learning and development in young children.
- Supervise and support a team of educators and staff members, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and partnership in their child’s education and development.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors, adhering to all health and safety regulations including the maintaining and updating of current policies and procedures.
- Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and record-keeping to ensure smooth operation of the centre.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education and incorporate new ideas and techniques into the program.
