About Us
Barrie Montessori & Elementary Private School is a Private School and Early Childhood Education provider in Barrie, Ontario. We employ teachers and teaching assistants who are fully trained in the areas of child development, early education and Ministry of Education curriculum. We offer a rich and exciting Montessori experience, to young learners who are 18 months-6 years of age and for students in grade 1-8. Our program is extensive in offering a holistic and unique approach to education, with opportunities for our students to be introduced to Montessori materials and specialties programs reflecting in art, language, physical education and nature. Qualifications
We are seeking out those who are looking to elevate their career in the field of Early Childhood Education. This position presents a great opportunity for RECE’s (Registered Early Childhood Educators), Montessori Teachers, recent graduates and Teaching Assistants. Those who may be a good fit for this position must be passionate about Montessori Philosophy and are enthusiastic towards teaching in our Toddler program. Those who qualify for this position must be familiar with child development, be patient, trust-worthy, and display a sincere respect, care and concern for the child. Our teachers act as models and guides to the children and must be self-aware, demonstrate great character and practice their own self-care to maintain their own sense of wellbeing. Members of our team must be committed to their career path, display professionalism and have a mature attitude in the workplace. We are seeking out those who are team players, have strengths in effective communication skills and are capable of working in a collaborative environment. We hold our centre to the highest of standards and are only willing to hire those who will exceed all expectations from the CCEYA and SMDHU. Job Description

- Create and implement program plans reflecting the 5 key areas of study: language, mathematics, culture, sensorial and practical life
- Train in Montessori materials and methods of teaching
- Observe and document each child’s overall growth/development
- Lead intentional outdoor play periods
- Present attention to detail in regards to children’s allergy/medical/individualized plans
- Maintain a thoroughly clean, prepared and organized classroom
- Maintain positive and trustworthy partnerships with parents
- Establish professional goals and participate in professional development opportunities
- Share a common goal in being passionate towards facilitating true Early Childhood Education

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
