JOB TITLE: REPLACEMENT EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR

Location: Garderie Académie Bois-Franc, Saint-Laurent, QC
Job Type: Part-Time (3-5 days per week, based on staff needs)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a Replacement Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This position requires flexibility, as you may be needed 3-5 days per week depending on staff time-off requests. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with different age groups, either independently or with a partner.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Quebec and SPVM police check (required for working with children)
  • Valid CPR certification
  • AEC/DEC/RAC in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • Bilingual (French beginner level is acceptable, English required)
  • Flexibility to work any day as needed

DESCRIPTION DU POSTE :

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) éducateur(trice) remplaçant(e) en petite enfance pour se joindre à notre équipe. Ce poste exige une grande flexibilité, car vous pourriez être requis(e) de 3 à 5 jours par semaine, selon les demandes de congé des éducateurs(trices). Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) sera à l’aise de travailler avec différents groupes d’âge, seul(e) ou en équipe.

  • Supervise and ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children in your care.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster learning and development.
  • Adapt to different classrooms and age groups (infants, toddlers, preschoolers).
  • Work collaboratively with other educators or independently when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Follow daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Provide emotional support and positive reinforcement to children.
