Centrally located at 529 Kalamunda Road High Wycombe, our brand-new centre has been custom-designed to meet the evolving learning needs of children six weeks to six years of age.
We are now looking for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our team!
Green Leaves Early Learning has committed to supporting the professional development and practice of our ECTs with the appointment of a dedicated mentor to co-research, create, and develop innovative learning and teaching practices.
Our Mentors and ECTs are provided regular opportunities to collaborate with our National Learning Research and Development Partner (NLRDP) – Dr Karen Grubb, through face-to-face and online mentoring; access to weekly articles and examples of practice shared by the services on the Storypark platform; networking with other ECTs across our organisation; and participation in practical professional development opportunities that extend their pedagogical and educational understandings.
We are seeking ECTs who recognise they are lifelong learners, share practice that aspires to be current, responsive, and transformative, and view themselves as research partners when supporting and mentoring others in our education team.
About You
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard/Framework (NQS/NQF)
- Plan and implement a comprehensive transition to school/school-readiness program for our Kindergarten children
- Responsible for managing your classroom and mentoring educators to meet high standards of curriculum and documentation
- Team player who is open to different views, receptive to feedback and reflects critically upon best practice
Qualifications
- Hold an ACECQA-approved teaching qualification
- WA Teacher’s Registration
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Current Child Protection Training
- Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain one
