Description:
Nest Early Learning is a group childcare program that helps children develop into the best version of themselves.
Qualifications: ECE
Additional Qualifications:
- Holds a current ECE certificate in BC
- Holds a valid childcare first-aid certificate
- Has a clear criminal record check
- SN/IT an asset
Our Ideal Candidate:
- has a minimum two years of experience working with children and families in licensed group child care programs
- has a working understanding of, or is open to learning about, the BC Early Learning Framework
- is team-oriented, respectful and values a strong work ethic
- has a genuine care for the emotional, social, and cognitive needs of every child
- has a nurturing, patient and confident disposition
Key Responsibilities:
- To be actively engaged with our children, team members and caregivers
- To maintain a welcoming and safe environment
- To become familiar with the policies and procedures of our program
- To prepare snacks and arrange the classroom for lunch and rest periods
- To supervise assistants, aides and volunteers
- To establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community service providers working with our children
- To perform general housekeeping duties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
