The role
We are seeking an innovative and strategic Early Talent Manager to spearhead the design and execution of our Early Talent strategy. This pivotal role is instrumental in building a diverse pipeline of emerging talent equipped to drive MAG’s future success. You will harness the apprenticeship levy and cultivate talent through our Graduate, Apprenticeship, and Internship programs. Collaborating closely with Senior Leadership, People Partners and Learning & Development, you will champion an exceptional colleague experience and elevate visibility and engagement across MAG Group with Early Talent initiatives.
Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Senior Leadership teams, People Partners, the Talent Acquisition Director, and the Head of Learning & Development to identify Early Talent needs and co-create a dynamic strategy.
Program Development: Address business priorities and future skills gaps by designing robust Internships, Apprenticeships, and Graduate programs.
Employer Branding: Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to leverage our employer branding framework and EVP to craft compelling narratives that attract top early-career talent through diverse channels, including digital platforms, events, and community outreach.
Inclusive Hiring: Develop a resilient, inclusive hiring strategy with rigorous assessment and objective selection processes, meeting set representation targets on female, Black, Asian, or minority ethnic backgrounds.
What will make you successful in the role?
To thrive in this role, you should have significant experience in Early Talent management within a larger matrix-style environment, demonstrated by:
Program Leadership: Proven track record in creating and managing talent development programs.
Assessment Centre: Expertise in creating and facilitating assessment centres for Early Talent programs
Data-Driven Insights: Ability to report on key metrics regularly and derive actionable insights from data.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the UK Early Talent market, including relevant trends and insights.
Apprenticeship and Graduate Programs: Familiarity with the UK Apprenticeship system and Graduate recruitment cycles.
Supplier Management: Experience in managing external apprenticeship and training providers.
