Job Title: Early Years Funding Assistant

Responsibilities:

With the announcement of the government’s new expansion of early years entitlement and wraparound programme an exciting opportunity has arisen to join Liverpool’s Early Years Childcare team. This exciting role will be to support the effective arrangements for claiming and payment administration of the early years entitlement and grant funding to the early years sector.

  • The Early Years funding assistant will be responsible for ensuring robust data management systems are maintained and used to support financial reporting.
  • Within the role the Early Years funding assistant will actively engage with providers claiming the funding by responding efficiently to enquires on individual payments, general provider questions.
  • Our Early Years funding assistant will provide information and guidance to families and childcare providers on the early years expansion and early years entitlement processes.
  • As the Early Years funding assistant you will be required to support the statutory annual census return to DFE department of education.
  • You as the Early Years funding assistant will undertake funding audits with childcare providers in order to monitor and support the correct use of the early years entitlement funding is being made as set out in the early years funding agreement.
  • In the role the Early Years funding assistant will be required to work as part of the wider early years team to support the delivery of the overall work service area.
  • You will have excellent skills and experience of data management systems and be proficient in MS-Excel. Ideally you will have excellent communication and customer service skill
