Description:
FIXED-TERM FOR FIVE MONTHS FROM OCTOBER 2024
The Centre for Sustainable Forests and Landscapes are looking for a PhD student to contribute to developing a research strategy for native woodland restoration in Scotland. The project is aiming to align the priorities and interests of eNGOs in Scotland to strengthen collaboration and support development of new research activity.

This post will be appointed at Grade UE07, step 1 which is £39,347 per annum, pro rata (£21.56 per hour).
YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:
- Current University of Edinburgh PhD student in the academic year ‘24/’25.
- An interest in woodland restoration and the academic research in this area.
- Experience carrying out reviews of academic and grey literature.
- Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources and communicate it effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to work proactively with colleagues and external collaborators with a variety of expertise; understanding and valuing different points of view.
