Description:
The Dorset All Age Community Eating Disorders Service has an exciting opportunity for a Practitioner in Eating Disorders to join our Duty team.
The principal role is to work in partnership with people with an ED and their families / carers, to plan, implement and review evidence-based interventions and to promote recovery from eating disorders. The role will involve screening of referrals, supporting assessments and answer duty calls from patients to the service.
The post is offered as a secondment or fixed term contract until 31 st March 2025. Part time hours will be considered, and flexible working supported where possible. The service is open Monday through Friday 9am-5pm.
For those within current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.
The team will provide evidence-based interventions to people with an ED and their families / carers.
The post holder will support senior colleagues to implement appropriate interventions where risks are considered high or their presentation complex.
They will work closely with all other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
The post holder will liaise and joint work with other professionals, including general practice, CAMHS, adult mental health, LEA/schools and universities to support integrated treatment.
