Description:
PART-TIME: 0.6 FTE (21 HOURS PER WEEK)
The Edinburgh College of Art is seeking to recruit a part-time ECA SCF Lecturer in Fashion Innovation on an open-ended basis.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS
- Educated to PG level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Comprehensive knowledge and expertise of methods and processes relating to Fashion as well as comprehensive knowledge and understanding of a wide range of materials and processes relevant to Fashion
- A strong track record of fashion industry experience and up to date practice based design ability
- Experience of teaching and educational administration in higher/further transnational education
- Evidence of the ability to assimilate theory and practice, through your practice and teaching
- Experienced in a range of methods of teaching and delivery of course content
- Confidence with digital technologies for teaching
- Proven ability to devise and/or manage multiple teaching, learning and assessment activities.
- Skills in managing, motivating and supporting people (students, colleagues)
- Demonstrable commitment to participating fully in academic life, including collaborative working and collegiality both in Edinburgh and Shanghai.
- Confident, clear communicator with obvious passion for the subject of Fashion and its related disciplines
- Empathic and student-focused
- Ability to work successfully as part of an international team
- Display evidence of being able to organise, prioritise and manage time effectively
- Commitment to exceptional student experience and proven ability to foster and embed a strong student-focused transnational cultureCommitment to equality and diversity in the workplace
