UMG value e-Commerce as a key foundational channel to connect artists and fans.
This is a fast paced and challenging role that will be pivotal in helping Universal Music Australia manage a portfolio of ecommerce stores across Universal labels. The role will be a part of the UK eCommerce team and participate in relevant meetings and training that occur in the UK Office but will be reporting into the Australian team day to day.

The role will ideally be willing to work the below proposed UK hours:

  • Monday 7am – 3pm
  • Tue – Wed 9am-5pm
  • Thur – Fri 12pm – 8pm

We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Manager to manage a selection of campaigns & projects. From delivering set ups for fast paced music and merchandise campaigns through to album pre-orders on artist stores; we are looking for a store manager with solid Shopify and eCommerce system experience, to act as an extension to the AU eCommerce team to deliver an always on approach for our Artists.
This role will suit a creative problem-solver with the ability to work on multiple projects at once. You will bring a confident calmness to handle pressured and time-sensitive launches for some of the biggest artists in the world. A passion for great eCommerce retailing and an obsession to provide the best possible UX is a must, as is previous experience within eCommerce.
The B Side: Skills & Experience

Be a Self-starter

  • Developing relationships as needed with key global e-Commerce stakeholders, notably the central international eCommerce team and embeds, AU operations team and AU customer service
  • Sharing of best practice, product updates and knowledge to the AU team
  • Knowledge and execution of the AU eCommerce Decision Framework

Be Operational

  • As directed by the Snr Manager, Store Management and Director eCommerce Development to facilitate the set-up of eCommerce campaigns, stores & product as required to meet campaign deadlines
  • Regular merchandising and optimisation of assigned store fronts, ensuring an optimal browsing experience for customers
  • Configuring promotions, competitions and marketing campaigns as needed
  • Assisting in the syncing of required martech integrations/feeds in collaboration with the eCommerce team, Paid Media & Audience teams
  • Assisting with theme updates and as needed, briefing development & app requests
  • Assist with sourcing solutions to general questions, on shopify, theming, 3rd party apps and integrations
  • Assist with sourcing solutions to more specifically tech related issues/questions are dropped in here related to theme stack functionality and UMG apps
  • Utilise project management tool Monday.com for day-to-day activities & future projects with the Central team + AU team
  • Optimisation of workflows to build out AU team efficiencies in differing time zones

Be Administrative

  • Assist with campaign reporting as required
  • Adhoc administrative tasks as advised by eCommerce Director & Senior Commercial Director
  • Assist with platform admin Including setting up environment and all finance integrations and approving/adding new apps or channels

Person Specification

Necessary

  • Experience in working in a ecommerce
  • Shopify experience and ability to work with store CMS, themes, and an understanding of core Shopify apps
  • An understanding of core eCommerce best practice with clear results delivering of great customer experiences
  • A passion for providing the best UX for all fans/customers
  • A commercial & analytical approach to business, adept at working and achieving store revenue targets
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Desirable

  • PM tools – preferably Monday.com
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of Google Analytics and ecommerce reporting tools
  • Understanding of paid marketing including paid social, programmatic & PPC
  • Understanding of SEO & accessibility best practices
  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion with an ability to react quickly and calmly to changing artist & label needs and deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and execute tasks with accuracy in a high-pressure, fast-paced agile environment
  • An understanding of site performance metrics and user behaviour to enable business decision-making
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams or working in a global company across time zones
