About the Opportunity:
DMI is seeking an eCommerce Operations Analyst to join us. This will be with one of our larger automotive clients, onsite Tuesday - Thursday in Detroit, MI.
As an eCommerce Operations Analyst, you will be instrumental in optimizing our online operations and enhancing the performance of our eCommerce platforms. In this role, you will analyze key operational and sales metrics, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with business teams to develop strategies that ensure smooth and efficient online transactions. Your insights will play a critical role in driving business decisions and improving customer satisfaction.
EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in eCommerce operations, data analysis, or a similar role.
REQUIRED AND DESIRED SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Experience with database technologies
- Knowledge of the ETL process
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated history of success
- Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions
- Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power Bi ), and experience with JIRA program or similar IT project management tools.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in data analysis and reporting.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Daily Sales Reporting: Prepare and distribute daily sales reports, providing key insights into sales performance and trends. Monitor and analyze daily sales data to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monthly Sales Reporting: Compile and analyze monthly sales data to create comprehensive reports that highlight overall performance, trends, and key drivers.
- Data Mining: Extract valuable insights from large datasets, identifying patterns, correlations, and trends that inform business strategies and decision-making processes.
- Data Visualization: Transform complex data into actionable insights, helping stakeholders understand trends, patterns, and key performance metrics.
- New Reporting: Design and develop new reports that meet evolving business needs, leveraging data analysis to create actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Data Exports: Execute and manage data exports to ensure accurate and timely extraction of information from databases, facilitating data analysis, reporting, and integration with other systems.
- Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions
- Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes
- Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
- Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
