JOB SUMMARY:

Seeking new talent that is passionate about consumer experience and eCommerce to fill the newly created position of eCommerce Site Specialist. This role will be responsible for enhancing the overall user experience on our D2C website, www.step2.com. This role involves overseeing website merchandising, user experience (UX) design, site optimizations, A/B testing, and delivering a frictionless end-to-end experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating intuitive and engaging online shopping experiences.
Location: Onsite preferred, Hybrid possible (Streetsboro, OH Headquarters)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, related field or related equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong focus on consumer experience, consumer journey
  • 3+ years of experience in ecommerce, UX, website management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Collaborative and naturally curious
  • Experience working with external agencies
  • Shopify: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Klayvio: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the DTC website, delivering optimal & frictionless user experience
  • Manage and coordinate with cross-functional teams - Creative, Growth Marketing, Product and Customer Service
  • Conduct UX research and usability testing to gather insights and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement UX strategies to enhance site navigation, layout, and overall user satisfaction
  • Work with internal and external resources on site development
  • Analyze website performance data to identify opportunities for optimization and increased conversion rates.
  • Implement A/B testing and multivariate testing to assess the effectiveness of changes and drive continuous improvement
  • Optimize site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall performance to enhance user experience and search engine rankings
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure product descriptions, images, and other content are optimized for SEO and user engagement
  • Ensure all website content is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with brand guidelines
  • Own the end-to-end consumer experience (from search to purchase/return/retention) including leading on problem solving “operational” topics
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, conversion rates, bounce rates, and average order value.
  • Use customer insights to inform UX improvements and site enhancements.
  • Other tasks and projects assigned as needed
