Specsavers is looking for a Solution Architect to join our Architecture team. In this post, you will be integral to the transformation of our 11-country digital landscape.

Working together with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and development teams, you will be at the vanguard of this vision as a Solution Architect, designing and delivering solutions that are not only technically sound but also reasonably priced, workable, and consistent with our strategic objectives. We are seeking a Solution Architect with a proven track record of designing retail IT solutions, especially those that use MACH methodology. The secret to your success will be your capacity to take complex business requirements and turn them into easy, achievable solutions.
Assuming complete responsibility for the solution, you’ll make sure our systems design procedures are as effective and efficient as possible. Our primary applications’ scalability, reliability, and performance will be guided by your leadership. Together with directing our delivery teams’ direction in close collaboration with other architects and technical leads, you’ll be instrumental in establishing and enhancing Specsavers’ architecture function.
Your experience in digital commerce solution design, especially using API-first, headless cloud architecture, will be essential. If you have a strong background in online eCommerce and in-store retailing technology systems, along with the ability to present complex topics clearly and effectively, you’ll fit right in. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment but more importantly collaboration is key here, and your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will help you succeed in a team that values quick delivery balanced with strategic thinking.
