We are looking for a well-rounded economics trainee to join our Strategy & Economic Analysis team at Nokia Technologies. This is a rare opportunity for a business-savvy economics student to gain valuable work experience alongside your master studies. You will work on business-critical questions that shape our strategic direction and financial performance for years to come.
A traineeship with us will give you an excellent opportunity to develop your professional skills and to learn what it is like to work in a truly international environment. You will gain experience from a wide range of projects and tasks, in cooperation with our top-notch professionals. The team will commit to support you and make sure you have some fun along the way as well!
By default, the position is part-time during the term and full-time during study breaks. The contract duration is 12 months (or negotiable) with a starting date in April 2025.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Your profile:

  • Current master’s or advanced bachelor student in economics (taloustiede) at a leading university (yliopisto) with a focus on microeconomics (esp. industrial organization) and econometrics. Must be enrolled during the traineeship.
  • Ability to attend our Espoo office on a regular basis (hybrid work).
  • An analytical mindset with a strong interest in business-relevant application is a must. Strong initiative, analytical skills, and the ability to develop creative solutions.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods, data analysis and programming are highly appreciated.
  • Interest in intellectual property and key mobile technologies is required, prior knowledge or experience is a plus.
  • Strong and positive interpersonal skills and a proactive and diligent approach to accomplishing tasks.
  • Fluency in both written and oral English and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and tact.
  • Flexible attitude and fast learning skills.
  • Previous work experience in the applicable field or in an international setting is a plus.
