A2F Consulting is an international consulting firm, with offices in the US and Germany. We are looking to open an office in the greater Lisbon area and are now hiring Economists / Data Analysts with strong quantitative and analytical skills to join our growing Economic Analyses and Evaluation Division. Initially, the position will be remote but we expect a hybrid structure in the future.
Our teams provide a broad range of advisory services and policy recommendations to support international development in emerging markets. We work with international development institutions, multi- and bilateral organizations, foundations, as well as governments and corporate clients to support international development. QUALIFICATIONS
Masters or PhD degree in Economics, Statistics or similar degree from a reputable university
Some relevant work experience preferred, but not mandatory
Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines as team member
Strong quantitative knowledge of statistics software such as STATA, SPSS, and /or R
Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
Fluent oral and written communication in English is required
Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn
Team player with strong client relationship and interpersonal skills
Working proficiency of an additional language would be a plus (French/Spanish/Portuguese)

Responsibilities:
Contribute to analytical research projects on behalf of public and private sector clients on a range of economic policy issues (e.g., market research, surveys, project and impact evaluations, etc.)
Participate in and coordinate projects on and off-site under the supervision of the Team Leader
Conduct research and extensive data analyses for concurrent projects
Write, review and/or edit technical reports
Support business development including preparing proposals for relevant tenders
Willingness and ability to travel internationally (< 10%)
