What is the opportunity? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst with a specialization in transportation and logistics to join our dynamic team. The EDI Analyst will play a pivotal role in enhancing our electronic communication capabilities and streamlining data exchange processes with our clients and business partners. The successful candidate will work closely with our Analytics team, logistics consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless EDI integration and efficient data flow.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML) and data mapping tools (e.g., IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, GXS AI, or similar).
- Ability to analyze complex data integration challenges and provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Utilize comprehensive expertise in handling various transaction sets, including the intricacies of 204s, 214s, 210s, 990s, and 997s, to ensure seamless and accurate data exchange.
Responsibilities:
- EDI Integration and Implementation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and develop EDI integration strategies tailored to transportation and logistics operations.
- Design, configure, and implement EDI solutions to enable smooth communication between Axle Logistics and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and protocols, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML, while adhering to our internal data security policies.
- Data Mapping and Transformation:
- Develop and maintain EDI maps to facilitate the translation of data between various systems and formats, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Troubleshoot data mapping issues and conduct testing to validate successful data exchange.
- Partner Onboarding and Support:
- Lead the onboarding process for new trading partners, working closely with clients, carriers, and vendors to establish EDI connections efficiently.
- Provide technical support to resolve EDI-related inquiries and issues promptly, maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
- EDI Process Optimization:
- Continuously assess and optimize EDI processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance data accuracy and reliability.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process automation and implement enhancements to drive productivity gains.
- Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor EDI transactions, error logs, and performance metrics to ensure the reliability and availability of EDI services.
- Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, and testing to keep the EDI infrastructure up-to-date and functioning optimally.
