Description:

The EDI Research Unit has a unique collaboration between Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) and the University of Manchester. It is building on existing collaborations and networks within the Trust and externally to assemble a critical mass of people at the forefront of trans-disciplinary EDI research that directly influences practice and policy. A key focus is undertaking work designed to bridge the ‘research-to-practice’ gap.
The post holder will be responsible for the leadership and delivery of the MHIN research programme within GMMH and will work with the Unit Director and other senior colleagues to develop and drive an ambitious programme of EDI-focused research, meeting the Trust’s strategic goal of delivering a research programme that better represents our diverse and complex population. The post holder will work with senior stakeholders across the Trust and externally.
As Programme Lead you will be responsible for ensuring the development and delivery of a range of research and innovation projects aligned with the GMMH strategy for Research & Innovation and wider regional and national goals.
The post is offered for 0.3wte (11.25 hours) per week, on a 12 month fixed term contract from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the delivery of the MHIN programme of work, and associated projects
  • Developing and presenting a variety of metrics and reports
  • Develop business cases for funding
  • Maintaining Programme Plans
  • Tracking, manage and align interdependencies.
  • Managing and monitoring progress of projects
  • Facilitate change using evidenced methodologies and approaches.
  • Managing risks and issues
  • Manage programme budgets.
