We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst to join our IT Team in Montreal. Reporting to the Director, Applications, the EDI Analyst will be responsible for managing the electronic exchange of data between our company and external partners, ensuring smooth integration and data flow in accordance with industry standards. This role involves troubleshooting EDI transactions, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and external regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an EDI Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, etc.).
  • Experience with EDI mapping tools and SPS integration platform, IBM Sterling, GXS, or similar systems will be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in SQL, XML, and database management for querying and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with INFOR XA will be considered a key asset. Familiarity with other ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, D365, etc.) and their integration with EDI systems will be considered a plus.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of data security standards and regulations is a plus (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor EDI transactions, ensuring successful data exchanges with trading partners.
  • Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot EDI interfaces, mapping documents, and data transfers.
  • Coordinate with business partners, internal IT teams, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate data exchange.
  • Analyze and resolve EDI-related errors and discrepancies, performing root-cause analysis and applying long-term solutions.
  • Design and configure new EDI workflows and processes to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to define data specifications and document EDI system requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for all EDI-related processes, including configuration changes, transaction workflows, and partner communication protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations, including industry standards such as HIPAA, ANSI X12, and EDIFACT.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and external partners regarding EDI processes.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting EDI systems.
