Description:
Education Assistant
The Burnaby School District is seeking qualified Education Assistants for on-call assignments.
Education Assistants are responsible for providing support for students in and out of the classroom, and within the community. Specifically, assistance is provided in the following:
- Behaviour management
- Curriculum implementation
- Social skills development
- Personal care
- Physical assistance
To be considered, candidates must have the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a recognized program in special needs assistance (eg. Education Assistant Program);
- One (1) year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of training and/or
experience;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Physical ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job
Hourly Rate: $35.11 per hour.
