Job Description
We are searching for an experienced sales professional to join the team as our new Education Business Development Manager based in (and serving) the central north island region. We forsee you are based out of one of our stores in Rotorua, Tauranga or Hamilton and your area spans the Napier/Taupo/Bay of Plenty/Waikato regions.

Reporting into the Education Sector, below is a quick snapshot of the role:

  • Hunting out & growing new revenue streams & sourcing commercial sales within the Education sector, ensuring key product and pricing is available to meet the customer needs
  • Nurturing & developing relationships with new customers as well as existing key clients
  • Managing relationships from a day-to-day perspective to ensure that sales are maximised and account relationships are maintained
  • Regularly collaborating with the Commercial Business Manager in your region (who works across all sectors) to leverage partnerships and jointly participate in client review meetings and maximise opportunity through events or instore promotion
  • Developing and supporting the wider team understanding to enhance capability, product knowledge and ability to deliver results for assigned sector within region.
  • Owning the response to all RFP’s and tenders within area, working with the Commercial Business Manager to understand specific needs of your customer and Sector Lead, to ensure the right proposition is delivered

Qualifications
We are looking for a collaborative & energetic individual who has a passion for success. You will be able to point to a strong background in sales and/or business development at a commercial level and be skilled at developing win-win solutions. Ideally you will have strong existing relationships within the Education sector (however we are happy to consider other sectors) to leverage existing and harness future opportunities.
Sales savvy and target driven, with a personality, you’re passionate about sales, business development and relationship management. Your knowledge of how to size an opportunity, gauge the value of that opportunity and develop the best fit implementation plan will be critical to your success. Equally important is your ability to bring a customer lens to your work.
