EDUCATION CONTENT COORDINATOR

Responsibilities:
YOUR PURPOSE:
This person will report to the Manager, Education Content Development and will work closely with multiple education staff members and volunteers. This position will play a vital role in the implementation and continuous improvement of the actuarial education pathway. This position also supports the creation and administration of some of our certificate programs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Provide General Committee and Meeting Support
- Assist committees by administering polls and scheduling calls as needed.
- Maintain committee lists of active education volunteers and ensure proper access to necessary systems.
- Answer email or phone questions related to SOA policies, reimbursement issues, meeting details, etc.
- Provide general support to education committees on an ongoing basis.
- Post course materials for committees onto shared document site as needed.
- Take meeting notes for conference calls and meetings as required.
- Prepare shipment of course materials to arrive in a timely manner for committee meetings.
- Coordinate reservation of equipment or audiovisual needs with IT department as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties in relation to supporting the education system
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding of volunteers, ensuring all necessary forms and training are completed and setting them up in all necessary systems.
- Assist in onboarding of independent paid contractors, ensuring all necessary forms are completed, verifying compliance as it pertains to the role, and setting them up in all necessary systems.
- Prepare course materials for posting on the public-facing website; work with the digital team to ensure posting accuracy and proper timing.
- Assist in updating travel and expense documentation on yearly basis.
- Update online sample exams utilizing basic knowledge of HTML, as needed.
- Some travel may be required; all travel will be within the North America region (US and Canada).
