EDUCATION CONTENT COORDINATOR

Responsibilities:

YOUR PURPOSE:

This person will report to the Manager, Education Content Development and will work closely with multiple education staff members and volunteers. This position will play a vital role in the implementation and continuous improvement of the actuarial education pathway. This position also supports the creation and administration of some of our certificate programs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide General Committee and Meeting Support
  • Assist committees by administering polls and scheduling calls as needed.
  • Maintain committee lists of active education volunteers and ensure proper access to necessary systems.
  • Answer email or phone questions related to SOA policies, reimbursement issues, meeting details, etc.
  • Provide general support to education committees on an ongoing basis.
  • Post course materials for committees onto shared document site as needed.
  • Take meeting notes for conference calls and meetings as required.
  • Prepare shipment of course materials to arrive in a timely manner for committee meetings.
  • Coordinate reservation of equipment or audiovisual needs with IT department as needed.
  • Perform other administrative duties in relation to supporting the education system
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of volunteers, ensuring all necessary forms and training are completed and setting them up in all necessary systems.
  • Assist in onboarding of independent paid contractors, ensuring all necessary forms are completed, verifying compliance as it pertains to the role, and setting them up in all necessary systems.
  • Prepare course materials for posting on the public-facing website; work with the digital team to ensure posting accuracy and proper timing.
  • Assist in updating travel and expense documentation on yearly basis.
  • Update online sample exams utilizing basic knowledge of HTML, as needed.
  • Some travel may be required; all travel will be within the North America region (US and Canada).
