Description:
THE JOB ITSELF
A fantastic new opportunity has become available within the Virtual School to promote good educational progress and attainment for our post 16 young people who are looked after by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
You will work closely with college staff, social workers, personal advisors and foster parents ensuring that the team around our young person supports them to be successful in their education. A key aspect of the role is chairing the Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings. The successful candidate will work to remove barriers to learning and ensure that everyone has high aspirations for our young people. You will need to develop positive relationships with our young people to ensure that their voice is heard.
You must be a highly motivated person, organised and resilient with good communication skills. You need to be able to challenge others and share advice in a professional manner. You would be joining a very friendly team who have a positive ethos.
You would need to be able to use your own transport to travel to college setting both in East Riding and Hull to attend meetings.
