Description:
Planet Aid seeks an entrepreneurial, results-oriented Education Partnership Officer to help secure funding for locally-led education programs in India. The primary focus will be raising funds from US-based foundations and high-net-worth individuals to support out-of-school children’s access to inclusive and child-centered learning opportunities. The Partnership Officer will work closely with Planet Aid’s local partner in India, Humana People to People India (HPP India), and will collaborate with a US-based team of development professionals, including writers and grant specialists. Additionally, the Partnership Officer will be responsible for tracking, capture management and administering USAID opportunities in health and education programs globally, with a focus on projects outside India.
The position requires a proven ability to identify new opportunities, develop relationships, and create compelling presentations that inspire support. You will be instrumental in advancing our mission, managing the proposal development process, and working cross-functionally with teams in the US and internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Identify potential major gift prospects and build relationships leading to significant gifts or donations.
- Develop strong corporate partnerships that align with Planet Aid’s mission.
- Engage in strategic planning to reach ambitious funding targets.
- Research and cultivate prospects, identifying matches between donors’ interests and Planet Aid’s education model for India.
- Develop innovative presentations and concept papers that make a compelling case for expanding educational programs.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in India’s educational landscape and funding opportunities.
- Arrange and participate in meetings with executives and decision-makers.
- Participate in the full proposal development process from concept to final product.
- Manage the tracking, capture management, and administration of USAID opportunities in global health and education programs, predominantly in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Represent Planet Aid at education-focused conferences and events to build new relationships.
