  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in refugee resettlement is preferred
  • Experience in managing and coordinating activities in a service environment is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in a current refugee language is a plus.
  • Transportation to drive to and from off-site locations is required.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?

  • Be a servant hearted, efficient and detail-oriented leader who supervises and supports staff working with clients to move forward in their acquisition of English language skills, literacy and academic skills.
  • Monitor services and offer support of staff through individual touchpoints and through facilitating staff meetings.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure compliance with all expectations and standards of practice.
  • Provide training, supervision, mentoring, and coaching to develop program staff.
  • Support your team with curriculum selection and development based on an understanding of pre-literate and SLIFE students based on the Science of Reading
  • Model and lead the team to conduct tutoring classes in a fun, positive, welcoming, culturally sensitive and trauma informed learning environment.
  • Work with the Program Manager to develop, monitor, and evaluate all program work plans, outputs and outcomes to ensure goals are met.
  • Cultivate relationships with schools and community partners regarding tutoring sites and schedules, and work with the team to coordinate class schedules and assignments.
  • Work with the Program Manager to identify and implement actions to improve goal attainment and service delivery as necessary.
  • Monitor casefiles for necessary documentation to ensure compliance with funder requirements and agency quality assurance standards.
  • Work with Volunteer Services and the People Team to recruit needed program volunteers and interns and ensure initial program training is provided.
  • Research and analyze client population trends and emerging needs to evaluate and modify program responses to address identified needs.
  • Identify and develop resources necessary to ensure program and client success.
  • Assist Program Manager with developing and implementing program policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services.
  • Work with Volunteer Services and the People Team to recruit needed program volunteers and interns and ensure that program training is provided.
