Educational Assistant - Temporary - Full-time (French Immersion)

Foothills School Division is currently seeking Educational Assistants to provide assistance with fluency, learning gaps, French assessments and interventions with our French language learners.
Full-time hours follow the school calendar schedule for approximately 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. This position will be scheduled three (3) days per week at Percy Pegler School and two (2) days per week at Joe Clark School.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work with minimal supervision under the direction of the classroom teacher and learning coach. They will provide flexible support to students/children in the French Immersion programs according to their changing needs and to facilitate and encourage independence in all areas of student/child development.
The Education Assistant will establish effective working relationships with teachers, parents and the community
This position requires that you are fluent in French, both written and oral. Experience working with students with complex needs that includes collaboration with educational support teams and therapists, such as SLP, OT, and Behavioral Consultants is an asset. If you would describe yourself as possessing a love for all children, with strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to multi-task in a busy school team environment then we welcome your application.
